This year come and celebrate the Summer Solstice with a special Tai Chi class: “The ancient Tai Chi of the Eight Immortal Taoists”.
This esoteric form of Tai Chi is not popular in America like other Tai Chi styles.
This form of Tai Chi is a way to bring the practitioner into physical, mental, and spiritual awareness and connection with the microcosm (human being), and the macrocosm (universe).
Tai Chi of the Eight Taoist Immortal is a practice to harmonize with the universal Qi and unite the Yin and Yang through the theories of the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.
Tai Chi of the Eight Immortal Taoists is eight movements that are precisely choreographed to create a relaxed mind-body dance that stretches and strengthens the entire body. The slow, deliberate movements develop balance and grace.
Shifu Orlando will begin the class with ancient healing sounds, and breathing techniques to keep your spirit alive during the summer season.
We will use the healing sound “Heng” which means “offering” to help with the stagnation in our body.
In this special class, students will also explore the “Spiral Movement of the Dragon” to light the internal fire in our whole body, purifying and transforming us into a new rebirth in this NEW season.
This inner work stimulates your physical body, awakening our spiritual energy which is what moves us in this physical world.
