Why you should NOT choose beach hotels in Treasure Island Florida!

Treasure Island is a great holiday destination. Beautiful beaches, stunning sunsets and a warm welcome from the community. So if this is the spot for your next getaway then you have certainly made a great choice.

However!

There is one major decision that you need to get right; whether you stay in a hotel or the beautiful beach house rentals in Treasure Island. Once you read this post, there won’t be any doubt left in you mind.

1. Get you own space.

Now unless you are willing to drop outrageous sums of money on a hotel, chances are you will get a boxed little hotel room. This is the reality. Hotels need to bring people in by the masses. 

Now if you choose beach house rentals or beach condo rentals in Treasure Island, then the game changes completely. All of a sudden you have your own personal nest to return to after a hard day’s play.

I find nothing more difficult then trying to relax in a tiny hotel room. Instead, I love having a whole house to ourselves. And because my brother and I like to vacation together with our families, we always look for beach houses for rent in Treasure Island, since nothing else is really big enough for us at a reasonable price. That is why we eventually decided to commit and purchase the Eiko’s Beach House.

Now if you do happen to like boxes, another option would be to look at some of the Treasure Island cottages for rent. These are a great option for when it’s just you and a partner.

2. The right atmosphere 

Remember that little box room I mentioned. Well not only is it usually undersized but it’s usually devoid of any real charm. By staying at a beach house you open yourself up to so many options. 

Whether you pick a quaint little beach cottage or even a luxury beach house like our very own Eiko’s Beach House, you can always find a place with the right feel for you and your family. If your gonna commit to a place for a vacation then it’d better feel like home.

3. Experience the Island

Treasure Island has some fantastic little gems to find. Whether it’d be the full John’s Pass experience or even just an ice cream with the kids, there is always plenty to do. That is, if you actually get a chance to experience it.

When you choose to stay in a hotel, you may well be pushed to stay at the premises. This is because these hotels want you to spend as much of your cash on site. And while there is nothing wrong with indulging at a hotel bar, you do miss the experiences that Treasure Island has to offer.

When you stay at any of the beach rentals in treasure island, you stay in a real home. You become a part of the community (no matter how short your stay) and get a better experience of the local scene. And maybe your neighbours can give you a few helpful tips and tricks. After all, there are some secrets only a local would know.

4. It’s YOUR Beach

For my taste, this is perhaps the best reason to choose a beach house in treasure island over a hotel.

Now compare these two thoughts. First: walking down a secluded path to the welcoming sea breeze. The waves beckon you closer. The only chatter is the birds who take no notice of you at all, as if you were a part of this wonderful paradise. The water is warm and inviting and the sun gently kisses you skin. After your swim in the Gulf, you decide to take a dip in the pool, your only company being that cold drink in your hand. This is the beach house treasure island experience that you’ve dreamed of.

Now picture this second image; you have to wake up early knowing there is a crowd all wanting YOUR beach spot. You tussle your way past other guests in the elevator, spending the whole time trying not to eavesdrop. You thought you got to the beach early but to your horror; all the good spots have already been taken. After you’re done, you want to rinse off in the shower but of course there’s a line. Finally you try to relax in the pool, you close your eyes and then… stray a beach ball comes out of nowhere and knocks that margarita out of your hand. This is not the vacation you waited all year for.

So these are some of the best reasons to consider a beach house of beach rental in Treasure Island when looking at your next vacation. And while I was a little tough on hotels, I really just wanted you to let you know about the wonderful benefits that so many hotel goers are missing out on when they mistakenly over look this beach house option.
