When visiting the Eiko’s beach House in Treasure Island Florida, guests on many occasions are celebrating anniversaries, family reunions, weddings, and other life-time achievements which call for an extraordinary celebration.

Some of our guests literally take to the air to highlight the special day or occasion. Therefore, in addition to swimming, sunbathing, fishing and just relaxing in your tropical paradise, why not aim high for a memorable day out.

Here are 3 incredible adventures you can have in the sky!

Biplane Rides

Fly in a pre WW2 biplane at Biplane Rides.

This aircraft originally, owned by Randolph Hearst, give two passengers a “birds-eye view of Downtown St. Petersburg, its beaches and the surrounding Tampa Bay area.

Ride in an open seat aircraft as you soar around South Pinellas. Flights over Treasure Island and Eiko’s Beach House can be arranged if your flight plan is agreed in advance. Biplane Rides is situated in Albert Whitted Airport in Downtown St. Petersburg and rides start for  as little as $99 per person.

Not afraid of heights and want to do something special with a loved one? Take this opportunity to fly like an eagle.

Helicopters

Want a great view of the coast line but not in an open seat biplane? Try a helicopter tour of the area.

There are a number of operators working out of Albert Whitted Airport and nearby St. Petersburg Clearwater International Airport. Helicopters can accommodate 2 to 3 passengers and typical rides last around 20 minutes, although they can be custom designed for longer and more extensive tours.

Guests boast about the “thrill” of the lift-off and the feeling of hovering in space to view iconic sites on the ground.

Flight Excursions

For more traditional “high flyers” who are accustomed to a little more comfort,  Flight Excursions based in St. Petersburg Clearwater Airport may be the flight operator for you.

One hour flights start at $200 for up to 3 passengers who will enjoy a journey over St. Petersburg, Treasure Island all in the comfort of a Cessna 182 Skylane aircraft.

Romantic sunset tours over the Gulf Beaches are highly recommended for honeymooners or for thrill seekers who want to “get high naturally” before going out on the town.

Back Down to Earth

The best part is, after a day of soaring over the skyline of St. Petersburg and yacht spotting over the Gulf of Mexico off Treasure Island, our adrenalin seeking guests return home to a more  relaxing atmosphere at the Eiko Beach House.

Reclining around the heated swimming pool, sipping homemade concoctions, it’s an ideal place to relive the excitement of the day and to plan tomorrows adventures from the beaches of Treasure Island at Eiko’s Beach House.
