Ok you have booked two weeks at the luxury Eiko’s Beach House in Treasure Island, Florida and reviewed the previous blog posts and learned where to go for breakfast in Johns Pass, a short 5 minute walk . You also know where to go if you drive south to Treasure Island for a delicious breakfast. But if you travel north by car into Madeira Beach , past John’s Pass Village, are there any scrumptious choices waiting for you? You better believe it and we have identified 3 of the best places for breakfast in Madeira Beach, Fl as voted by our guests and by Eiko herself!

Screwy Louie’s

The first on the list is Screwy Louie’s, located at 14705 Gulf Blvd. This “joint” is a bar and restaurant all rolled up into one.

It opens early at 7 am for the early birds like Eiko and serves breakfast to the late risers, like the boys, at 12 noon. We relish the $.99 items on the breakfast menu. It’s possible to have two or three items  plus tip for less than $5.00. A great deal if you are on a budget.

We find the bacon just as we like it: crispy, and the home fries are out of this world. From here you are right across the street from the azure waters of the Gulf of Mexico and Screwy Louie’s puts you into the beach mood. The menu provides lots of choice and we know you and the entire gang will find something on the menu to hold you over until lunch or even dinner.

Little Europe

Only a five minute drive from Eiko’s Beach House, you can sample delicious European and/or American cuisine at Little Europe located 15024 Madeira Way, Madeira Beach.

This local gem is pet friendly (so is Eiko’s Beach House) so bring your furry family member with you when you tackle your European breakfast.

Little Europe opens at 8 am and serves delicious and ample pancakes and crepes. Try the banana crepe which is a meal in itself. The home fries here are outstanding and the décor reminds us of the small cafes we enjoy while travelling in Germany and Austria.

The menu combines German, Greek and traditional American dishes and somehow it really works well. This is a go to place for locals but as a guest of Eiko’s Beach House you are part of the extended family.

Madeira Beach Snack Shack Gulf Front Café

The Madeira Beach Snack Shack Gulf Front Café located on Gulf Blvd on the beach as advertised. This is more of a place to dig the vibes and get you in the mood for your vacation on the Gulf of Mexico.

The breakfast fares are standard on good with our preference being the French Toast with Strawberries, 3 egg vegetarian omelette, or the traditional but never tiresome 2 eggs with crispy bacon and, in my case, grits.

While the food and the service are great, the key here is direct access to the beach! Hang around until the afternoon and enjoy ice cream and cold drinks as you warm your feet in the fine white sand.  This establishment also is pet friendly so no need to leave your loved one or two at Eiko’s Beach House.
